Celebration time

The club celebrated its successful double winning season with a joint bash with the Special Olympics Limerick fundraising team at Punches Hotel recently.

At the party the annual club awards were handed out -

Player of the year elected by the squad was Mick Daly club captain for his consistently excellent displays in the league and cup games despite his age.

Clubman of the year nominated by the management team was John Paul Clohessy for his inspirational commitment to the club all through the season attending every training session and game regardless of the conditions and his willingness to help the other team members.

Special awards were given to Robert Sheehan & Mikey Ryan for their help in coaching the squad, also to St Mary's RFC in appreciation for allowing us the use of their facilities for training through the season.

Highlight of the evening was a special guest entertainment spot by Mickey Harte who sang a few numbers for the large audience. Our thanks to Gaye Moore Special Olympics fundraising co-ordinator Limerick for allowing us to share the SO function to celebrate our very successful season.
